Submission Requirements

1.Submission Guideline
1)Please submit the digital version of drawings and relevant documents to: wenxingbridge@chinabuildingcentre.com;
2)Language: The official language of the competition is Chinese and English (English must be included in the language of title and main design description). Chinese and English drawings are required by Chinese competitors; English drawings are required by international competitors.
3)International Measurement Units (Meters, Millimeters, etc.)

2.Submission List
1)The panel size shall be A0 (1189mm x 841mm) Landscape orientation, 2 panels required for each submission. If more than 2 panels are submitted, only the first 2 panels shall be taken. Provide panels that can fully express the creative intention of the work, such as general layout, renderings, plan, elevation, section drawing, enlarged key drawing and diagrams, etc., as well as design description (combined within the panel) of about 500 words, there are no limits on the scale and effect of all drawings on panel. If there are physical models, photos of the physical models can be included.
2)Appended materials (Design Texts, videos, model etc.) can be submitted as auxiliary instructions of the design;

3.Submission Documents
1)Please attach identifiable scanned copy of the ID. (the participants in mainland China shall provide scanned copy of their local ID, participants in China Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and International participants shall provide scanned copies of their passports. Please submit the entire team’s scanned copy of the ID, If participate as a team.)
2)Please attach a text (in the format of TXT) which MUST include participant(s)’ name(s), name of University or Company, e-mail address, phone number, other contact information, title and brief introduction of the submitted work. The folder should be named after the participant(s)’ name(s). 
3)“The Declaration of Original Work” is also needed, which should be downloaded from the official website, signed, scanned and submitted together with project.

4.Layout and Format
1)Please submit the drawing layout (300 dpi in resolution at least) in the version of jpg, and name the picture according to the content (such as XXX plan 1)
2)In the TXT, all the information mentioned before should be written in English.
3)Submission Requirements: please submit one file in the format of zip or rar and the file size should be between 50mb-100mb. This file should contain four folders, they are:
(1)Drawing: Two drawings
(2)Identity Certificate: Scanned ID photo(s) or Passport(s)
(3)Text: TXT
(4)Others: Scanned copy of Declaration of Original Work and other appended materials (Design Texts, videos, model etc.). Please make sure ALL team members sign on the Declaration of Original Work.


Competition Regulations

1)Individual participants and teams must agree with and follow the competition requirements and regulations. The organizing committee reserves its right of final interpretation.
2)Entries with words or pictures relating to the name or department of participants in the digital drawings will be disqualified from the competition.
3)Participants have the copyright, while the organization committee can exercise all other rights except authorship.
4)Entries that have been submitted to other competitions, published on other public occasions or found to be similar to other works in terms of design ideas will be disqualified from the competition.
5)Juries cannot act as advisers to participants; otherwise participants will be disqualified from the competition.




“Rediscover Yongxin” Old City Renewal Plan

Located on the western border of Jiangxi, Yongxin County is a famous general county in the country and the center of the Hunan and Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base. Yongxin embodies its unique gene of “rich humanity, red history and beautiful ecology”. However, the development of the old city, like many other counties in China, is facing numerous issues such as slow economic development, lack of industrial vitality, gradual brain drain, urgent needs to improve the infrastructure and city’s appearance. Therefore, how to protect, inherit and take full advantage of Yongxin’s rich and unique cultural resources and historical genes are both challenging and promising for the development of Yongxin in the new era.
In this context, taking the features and culture of Yongxin Old City as the carrier, guided by design, culture and art, Yongxin Old City has carried out practical operation to solve difficulties as well as future-oriented renovation and transformation through events, communities and industries. Attaching a spatial value to Yongxin Old city via culture revival, environmental improvement, affluent life and model setting. The city will finally realize its renewal plan through the endeavor such as creating an old city regeneration model, reviving the old city’s culture, reconstructing the ancient city ecological circle, consolidating the ancient city industrial foundation.
